The attack of the wild Turkey!

Believe it on not this bird can be more dangerous dead than alive. People around the world that celebrate Thanksgiving traditionally choose the Turkey as the prize of choice. Don’t be tempted to throw a freezing lump of fowl into a vat of boiling oil that is sitting atop an open flame.
Every year deep-fryer fires are responsible for five deaths, 60 injuries, the destruction of 900 homes, and more than $15-million in property damage, according to the National Fire Protection Association.

Anyone that has ever been to a family get together knows the shenanigans that goes on. Old uncle Jim used to be a star on the field and decided he would show little Barrack a think or two. Well be careful because you could end up icing your wounds or your could end up in plaster or worse!

Before or after the big meal, families and friends often like to let off steam by playing sports, and football injuries are common this time of year. One of the oddest injuries a man who fell while wearing a helmet made out of a raw turkey…. But the unconventional headgear was actually helpful — The turkey prevented him from serious injury”

Well the Family factor is one thing that has tainted my view on Christmas and other family get togethers. My Mum always cooks up a storm and there is no lack of generosity but often the gathering of your closest family members leads to more than just disagreements.

The verbal and physical abuse that can ensue makes you wonder if it is all worth it.

Glady and statistically there is no evidence that domestic violence increases during the holidays but in my experience you don’t have to be physical to come to blows. My advice is to try and hold your tongue and just be happy for all the people around you.
